Founded on a simple complaint.

Thought Flares started in 2018 when our founders, both coming out of in-house product teams, kept running into the same wall: agencies that designed beautifully but never had to live with what they shipped, and dev shops that built exactly the spec and nothing smarter.

We built the studio we wished we could’ve hired — one where the person sketching the flow is in the room when it’s built, and the person writing the code understood why the flow was shaped that way in the first place.

What's your typical project timeline?

Most engagements run 8–16 weeks depending on scope, split across our four-stage process: Spark, Shape, Build, Ignite. We’ll give you a real timeline after the discovery call, not before.

Do you work with early-stage startups?

Yes, roughly a third of our projects are pre-seed to Series A. We scope engagements to match runway rather than pushing a one-size scope of work.

Can you just do design, without the build?

Absolutely. Strategy and design engagements without a build phase are common — we’ll hand off a system your in-house team can implement.

How many projects do you take on at once?

We cap at four active engagements so every client gets the full team’s attention. This sometimes means a short waitlist — we’ll always tell you upfront.
